About the Foundation
Our web page is www.farewellfoundation.ca The Farewell Foundation for the Right to Die believes that its members have the right to make choices about their own bodies, their physical and psychological integrity, and their basic human dignity. The Foundation believes its members should have the right to receive assistance to end their lives, and that members should have the right to provide assistance.
Application for Incorporation
The Farewell Foundation has applied for incorporation as a non-profit society under the Society Act. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide assistance to members of the Society to end their lives by self-chosen death. This includes direct physical assistance where necessary and appropriate.
Who can be a Member and Receive Assistance?
Only members of the Farewell Foundation are eligible for assistance. Applicants for membership must declare that they are of sound mind and that they have the capacity to make informed and voluntary decisions. Continued membership is contingent upon being of sound mind and capacity to make informed and voluntary decisions. The Farewell Foundation will not encourage any person to end their lives. No Financial Incentive
Farewell Foundation has no direct financial incentive to provide assistance. The Society’s bylaws restrict it from receiving remuneration or consideration for providing assistance to its members. Donations to the society must not be in consideration for or contingent upon the receipt of assistance.
